Products "EUROWATER"

The water treatment company EUROWATER was founded in 1936 starting out with the production of filtration plants for filtration of water for dairy co-operatives. Since then, EUROWATER has developed into servicing customers within almost all industries.

Our activities are concentrated on development, production, and marketing of complete solutions for treatment of water. Our experience in this field includes
Numerous waterworks and private water supplies
Multifarious applications within all types of industrial companies and institutions

We are an independent group with 260 independent and experienced employees of which half is based in Denmark, mainly at our head office and production facilities.

The products are of very high quality. Solutions, choice of materials, and processes are constantly optimized in close co-operation with our supplying companies.

Our many years' experience and the packaged modular design guarantee a reliable plant, short delivery time, and competitive prices.

The production of larger pressure filters takes place at our subsidiary, Eurotank A/S, based near our head office in Denmark.

EUROWATER has subsidiary companies in 14 countries servicing our customers through 21 local offices. The relationship with our employees, customers, and collaborators is built on long-term relations. The international aspect forms the basis of a broad trade of experiences and places us among the leading manufacturers of water treatment plants in Europe.

Our new series of compact units type CU:RO consists of complete reverse osmosis system together with pretreatment on the same stainless steel skid – ready for use. The concept brings you the following advantages:

  • pre-determined system with a range of standard options for pretreatment; makes purchase and design straightforward
  • factory-tested as a whole; leaving you with minimum risk of errors
  • frame mounting; makes a secure and quick installation
  • compact design with minimum footprint

The series includes 5 different sizes with standard output of demineralized water from 0.4 to 2.0 m³/h - each available with three options for pretreatment.

Proper pretreatment of the feedwater to an RO system is an essential factor for unproblematic, long-term operation. Clogging of the membranes by suspended solids, scale-forming minerals, and other impurities have to be prevented by appropriate measures. Hardness minerals can be removed in a softener, suspended solids in a mechanical filter, while free chlorine can be removed in an activated carbon filter.

You can select between the following pretreatment options:

  • 1-tank softening plant
  • 2-tank softening plant, parallel operation
  • 2-tank plant with combined filling for softening and removal of free chlorine, parallel operation

Moreover, all units are equipped with a special mechanical filter (strainer) which is reliable and easy-to-maintain. A backflow preventer to separate the unit from the public water system is also standard on all units.

Control panel SE30

A EUROWATER designed control system integrating an operator panel and a programmable logic controller PLC is accessible on the front side of the unit together with flow meters and manometers.

The control panel offers a user-friendly HMI environment. The panel has a large, illuminated display for optimum operator control and monitoring. The menu structure is standardized and available in several languages for easy and quick access to operating data and parameter settings. User-friendly keys on the panel front make interface possible without violating the IP54 protection class.

Options:

  • Control cabinet for power supply with main switch and motor protection for RO pump
  • Conductivity measurements with temperature compensation and output signal 4-20 mA

The series comprises four types. The systems consist of a cylindrical reactor of acidproof steel with Spektrotherm® UV lamp in a quartz pipe. Equipped with UV sensor. Also available in PE. Selected systems are certified in accordance with the Austrian ÖNORM and the German DVGW standards. Biodosimetrically tested.

The Grundfos digital dosing control is used for very precise dosing. The DME-type stepper pump motor rotates continuously, so that the material flows parallel to the suction. The engine automatically sets the dosage speed, while guaranteeing the required flow rate. The DMS motor rotates at a constant speed, stopping only between cycles. By automatically increasing or decreasing the speed, the DMS metering pump can adjust the flow rate to suit your requirements. For two types of metering pumps, dosing can be controlled remotely, analogously or manually.

Grundfos series DDA/DDC/DDE

The DDA, DDC and DDE models set new standards at dosing rates of up to 30 l/h and 16 bar. The DDA model is the pump for complex and demanding applications where the focus is on maximum process reliability. The DDC impresses with features such as simple, intuitive click-wheel operation and a graphic LC display. The DDE is the cost-effective entry-level model with all the benefits of Digital Dosing.

Membrane Degassing Units (MDUs) provide efficient, compact and maintenance-free technology for removing carbon dioxide and oxygen from water without any chemical treatment.

In many industries where high quality water is needed - such as make-up water for boilers, power plants, pharmaceuticals - membrane degassers are becoming standard technology for removing CO2 and O2 from water.

For example, carbon dioxide removal can reduce the effects of corrosion in boilers and pipes in order to save investment, extend equipment life and reduce operating costs. The removal of these gases can also increase the efficiency of the process, for example, for the operation of the EDI system.

Main advantages for choosing membrane degassing modules:

  • Chemical independence
  • Compactness
  • Low installation costs
  • Modular design with high flexibility to ensure future potential or stringent requirements, even after initial installation.

EUROWATER offers membrane degassing modules as standard kits, and customized solutions are also possible.

Deaerators are used for reducing the content of oxygen, carbonic acid, and air in the water, for treatment of make-up water for steam boilers and district heating centrals, and for deaeration and deoxidization of circulating water.

Advantages

Reduction of oxygen and CO2 minimize the risk of corrosion. All deaerators are produced in materials which ensure a long life, high operational reliability, and a minimum of maintenance of your plant.

Plant description

EUROWATER produces several types of deaerators:

  • Thermal deaerators Thermal deaerators ere used for pretreatment of feedwater for steam boilers. The oxygen content is reduced to very low values. Can be insulated with mineral wool and covered with aluminium plates. The plant is constructed according to the EU pressure tanks directive of 29 May 1997 (97/23/EF) (PED) and is delivered approved with CE marking.
  • Vacuum deaerators Are used for treatment of make-up water and circulating water in heating centrals. The oxygen content is reduced to less than 0.1 mg/l. Possibility of construction in electroplated and stainless steel.
  • COdegassers Are used in connection with dealkalizers or UPCORE demineralization plants.
  • Membrane degassers Removal of CO2 and O2. Used in connection with RO units, mixed-bed units and EDI units. Read more about membrane degassing units

Due to the fact that it is expensive and sometimes difficult to carry out installations and assembly in the offshore industry, it is sensible to do as much of the assembly and testing off-site as possible.

The shown plant is mounted on an epoxy-coated, construction iron skid with drip tray.

The plant is designed for 9 m³/h and consists of filter bags for removal of mechanical impurities, scavenger plant for removal of organic, suspended matter, demineralization plant, plant for neutralization of regeneration chemicals, and a central electric control cabinet.
