For the handling and conveying of fragile and delicate products Cusinato manufactures special CTC chain conveyors for medium and high production rates. This range of machines, with improved performance thanks to specific experience in the handling of cubed animal feed and, more specifically in pet food, is a valid and affordable solution for the handling and the transport of products that must not be damaged and / or contaminated in any way.The low conveying speed and the exclusive component design of the machine guarantees the absence of product breakage or stagnation points. Special surface treatments prevent and limit the product from being damaged by friction. Thanks to the meticulous attention to component and part design of the CTC chain conveyors and their related accessories, the product is guaranteed to be conveyed without being damaged and contaminated in any way.

The Cusinato CTC range of chain conveyors can be supplied with lengths of up to 50 m and fitted with intermediate unloading points which can be operated manually, electro-pneumatically or motorised. For special installation requirements, they allow, through a special raised structure a double sliding plane, to convey the product in the opposite direction of the chain feed up to the return unit to then, fall onto the bottom sliding plane, and then be conveyed forward thus avoiding the use of additional conveyors.

The end and chain tensioning return units, mechanically reinforced with special profiles, contain devices and internal elements to prevent the complete stagnation of product and powders, thus allowing the conveyor to be used with different product batches in sequence without mixing or contaminating them

The exclusive constructive system of the Silos provides a robust metallic weight bearing structure, suitably designed (calculated and dimensioned statically) to support loads due to the silage of products with a high specific weight; in the calculations even all the possible additional higher loads are considered with the existing or planned feeding systems.The cells can be built with different designs (square, round or rectangular) and with different materials or combinations (Stainless steel or painted carbon steel or galvanized).The unloading, which ensures a complete emptying of the cells, is provided by the vibration extraction system, complete with adjustable sliding gate and flow deflector in the two available versions: with “manual” operation or “automatic with remote control” operation.

Cusinato, after extensive research of the requirements of the most demanding pasta producers designed a dynamic storage solution using a loading system which is innovative, complete, exclusive, patented by the company, purposely designed for the most fragile and bulky products, as producers are aiming more on diversification with the “focus” on presenting innovative and quality products to the market for the discerning consumer.

The new elevator has been studied and designed for feeding product to multiple storage levels all positioned vertically. The patented and exclusive elevator, receives product from the production line, and can load any storage level (if empty) by “gently” and evenly placing the product on the storage level, by means of a linking belt. In addition to the unloading points on each level, the elevator includes an additional unloading station for emergencies or for waste product.

The belt storage system, result of Cusinato’s technology, is designed to store the product by spreading it evenly and at varying thicknesses along the entire width of the storage belt. The dynamic Cusinato storage system also offers lots of customisation options, and it can therefore be adapted, by suitably configuring the number of levels, the width and the length, to the available space of the client.

The Cusinato system is flexible and adaptable to the requirements of the client.

It is made up of:

  • purposely designed bucket elevator (patented);
  • linking conveyor belts;
  • level storage (storage belts);

The vibrating feeders, available in various models, are used for forming a uniform product flow, in order to enable a correct and constant feed to the loading point of the Bucket Elevators, Drying and Cooling Belts. The shape of this machine is similar to that of a Vibrating Screen; the difference being lies in the absence of the “sieving function” and in the type of vibration which in the case of the vibrating feeders is done by means of 2 motor-driven vibrators.

The belt conveyors are suited for conveying on horizontal or inclined levels granular products, foods and non-food.

Our belt conveyors are available:

  • in any length (*);
  • with a concave or flat conveyor surface;
  • with fixed or adjustable sides, with standard or greater heights;
  • with a vulcanised slat belt.

The Cusinato Vibrating Extractors normally used for unloading silos or storage hoppers, exploit the technique of vibrations to enable the even unloading of the product. Initially designed to be mounted in our plants, subsequently they were used and adapted to be also mounted on existing silos and hoppers, to replace other pre-existing unloading systems that were obsolete or performing badly.Motorised with one or two motor-driven vibrators, the Cusinato Vibrating Extractors are capable of extracting and dosing products stored in silos even when handling products that do not flow easily. The required dosing and flow is done by a modular sliding gate which can be operated manually or electrically by remote. For special requirements of production mixes, flow control sensors can be fitted, to ensure the correct fed of all products which make up the recipe/mixture.The range of Cusinato Vibrating Extractors is made up of different models which differ according to their capacity.

The Vibrating Extractors can be equipped with a series of extras:

  • electrical or manual operated sliding gate;
  • product flow sensor;
  • manual or electro-pneumatic operated flow deflector, ideal when the product has to be fed to 2 conveyor/packaging lines.

The Cusinato spiral lowerators are ideal in all cases where “drop” transport is required, preserving the integrity of the transported product. The massive use by pasta manufacturers of spiral chutes for transporting pasta, has stimulated over time continuous improvements both from the point of view of design and performance, so much so that they are used successfully for transporting and filling of silos together with other types of fragile food products (snacks, dried fruit, dried vegetables, etc.).

The Cusinato spiral lowerators are:

  • Made entirely of Aisi 304 stainless steel;
  • Available in different types: for the drop feeding to fill storage silos, or simply for the conveying and dropping of the product between two transport systems (for example between 2 horizontal conveyor belts) placed on different levels;
  • Built using special machines and equipment, especially made. In addition to diameters of normal production (the standard 500 mm and the 800 mm) you can also have models with different diameters, with spirals of different pitch and cross-sections so to be able to cover other requirements in terms of capacity and type of product to be conveyed;
  • Available with various systems for supporting the spirals, developed and built in accordance with the specifications of the product to be conveyed: by means of external uprights or else with a central upright and support arms and with rounded edge on the section of the “Anti Stop” spiral (to prevent attachment and stagnation of certain pasta shapes). The welding and finishing are accurate and with the use of exclusive devices which prevent the product stopping, stagnating and spilling.

Cusinato offers Silos manufactured with an exclusive system: a robust metallic weight bearing structure designed to carry product loads of particularly high weight, also considering the feeding systems (Belt or Bucket Conveyors). Cusinato has also developed an exclusive system for the fixing of panels, which prevents the formation of cracks due to the inevitable natural expansions and temperature changes of the environments in which they are installed, avoiding product leaks or stagnation.

They are available in different sizes and types to solve every vertical and horizontal transport problem. Each machine provides maximum reliability over time with a minimum level of maintenance and full respect of the load.

Our bucket elevators are equipped with:

  • one or more loading points with perfect sealing at any point of the horizontal section;
