Used for the animal pens in the slaughterhouse.

They are supported by the columns that make up the pen, with a swinging door that is attached to the column with hinges and a latch that closes on the opposite pillar.

The exact measurements and shape of the pen will depend on the type of animal being held.

  • For pigs, fences are made of metal sheets.
  • For sheep, metal sheets are used for smaller animals, while vertical bars are used for larger animals.
  • For calves, horizontal bars are used.
  • For fences used to create pens for several different animals (pigs, sheep and cows), vertical bars or metal sheets are used up to a certain height, then horizontal bars are used up to 1500 mm high.

The bars are made of galvanised steel or AISI-304 stainless steel.

Used to close the animal pens in the slaughterhouse.

Made of:

  • Structural columns that are bolted to the floor, spaced 2000 mm apart from each other.
  • Space between the fences to screw or bolt between the columns. Can be made of either metal sheets or bars. Made up of different units, allowing a unit to be easily replaced if necessary. The pens are very versatile, as spaces can be made larger or smaller by adding or removing different units.
  • The exact measurements and shape of the pen will depend on the type of animal being held.

This machine is used to push sheep along the corral from the feeding area to the restrainer.

Made of:

  • 1400mm high panel with supporting frame, which moves horizontally and vertically.
  • Passageway with two side latches 1500 mm high, sheet metal panel.
  • Sheet metal entry doors, which open on either side, so that the animals to fill the passageway where pushing panel is (number of doors depends on the facility).
  • Doors for staff to enter the restrainer area (number of doors depends on the facility).
  • Two IPN rails in the passageway, placed at 2100 mm from the floor, with a toothed rack for the panel to move along.
  • Carts that drag the panel and run along the rack, driven by a gear motor (power depending on the facility).
  • Pneumatic system to raise up the panel as it moves back.
  • Upper rail for electrical and pneumatic cables.
  • Control panel that controls any variations in speed.
  • 2 panels of buttons with manual switches to raise, lower and stop the barrier, as well as to move it forwards and backwards.
  • 2 limit switches to stop the panel along its horizontal axis.
  • 2 limit switches to stop the panel along its vertical axis.
  • 2 limit switches to balance the panel along its vertical axis.

Total measurements and length: depends on the facilities.

Walkway situated above the pens, normally used for cattle, in order to have access to the animals and move them through different passageways and pens until they reach the stunning area.

  • These passageways allow the operator to move the animals as safely as possible.
  • When working with an upper walkway, all the doors will have an opening/closing system that can be controlled from the walkway.
  • Made of a UPN profile chassis, with a metal grating floor, a guard rail with a baseboard and an access staircase.
  • Made of hot-dip galvanised steel.

Measurements:

  • Walkway width: 800 mm
  • Length and shape: according to the facilities available.
