Slaughter
line cattle

Used on the cattle slaughter lines to keep the animal in place while it is stunned.

Made up of:

  • Guillotine door counterweight type
  • Side door to remove the animal manual tilting
  • Retractable floor, manual, with simultaneous tilling to help the carcass fall.
  • Made of hot-dip galvanised steel.

Options:

  • Head restraint.
  • System to restrain the head of the cattle inside the knocking box, while it is stunned

Automatic knocking box LM0Q9

Made up of:

  • Pneumatic piston
  • Manual tilting through a pneumatic piston
  • Retractable, works using the same piston as the side exit door, with simultaneous tilting to help the carcass fall.
  • Hinged upper gate that opens downwards to push the animal forward, which works with a hydraulic cylinder,
  • Hinged front gate in a V-shape, adapted to the neck of the carcass, which moves upwards to keep the animal’s neck in place, and works with a hydraulic cylinder.
  • Hydraulic power and electrical panel used to control the hydraulic mechanisms.

Options:

  • Head restraint.
  • System to restrain the head of the cattle inside the knocking box, while it is stunned

Hydraulic machine to remove the skin from the animal.

Chassis made of:

  • 1 vertical column made of two U-shaped rails, screwed to the floor with anchors and attached to the track with 2 straps.
  • 1 central roller with chains, mounted on a moving cart.
  • 1 reinforcing bar to attach to the aerial track, so that it can handle the weight.

Support placed in front of the skinner, screwed and anchored to the floor, to attach the dragging chains.

  • Chains made of stainless steel.
  • 1900 mm piston to raise/lower the moving cart.
  • Motor to roll/unroll the roller chains,
  • Cabinet containing the electrical circuits, placed behind the machine.
  • Control buttons located on the work platforms.

Made of stainless steel or galvanised steel.

Operation:

  • Tie the hind legs to the support chain,
  • Put the chain behind the post and attach it to one of the notches.
  • Attach the chains to the skin that has already been removed from the legs (either the front legs if the skin will be removed from top to bottom, or the back legs if the skin will be removed the other way round).
  • Roll up the chains and move the cart (downwards if the skin will be removed from top to bottom, or upwards legs if the skin will be removed the other way round).
  • When the skin has been removed from the animal, unroll the chains to release it.

Installed within the hide-puller and used to keep the carcass tense during the hide-pulling process, to prevent any of the vertebrae being fractured.

Made up of:

  • An electrical stimulator that applies a controlled electrical current (low voltage).
  • Swinging arm. powered by a pneumatic piston, that moves the electrodes closer to the animal.
  • Limit switch to automatically activate the swinging arm.
  • Control panel.

Made of stainless steel.

Operation:

  • When the hide-pulling roller lowers, it pulls and rolls the animal skin, and once it reaches the limit switch the swinging arm is automatically activated.
  • The arm places itself on the lower back of the animal, which means the electrodes are automatically electrified, and this is transferred to the carcass.
  • The animal is electrified, which means that the vertebrae do not break when the skin is pulled.
  • When the hide-puller roller reaches the end, the electrodes automatically stop receiving electricity and return to their initial position.
